Our team at Sara Kauss Photography is a close knit group of talented, experienced, and passionate creative professionals. Every time we chat with a client, or raise our bedazzled cameras to capture a memory, we feel so fortunate! Photography is much more than a job for all of us. It is a huge part of our lives when we create an image of a moment otherwise missed, or when we freeze that instant in time before you blink and it’s gone! It is an incredible honor and joy for us to share that ability with you.
Sara Kauss Photography’s concentration is in wedding photography, musician and concert photography, and lifestyle portraits. As seasoned photojournalists with more than two decades of combined experience, our skills and style of shooting seamlessly transition to any avenue of photography, including corporate photographs, styled shoots, non profit events, international documentaries, and more.
Our studio founder, Sara Kauss, is an international photographer known for her photojournalistic style and colorful, dynamic photos, all captured with a spontaneous, energetic, personality. Sara established her photography studio over 10 years ago in sunny Jupiter, Florida, and has been expanding ever since. Her sincere kindness and stunning images earned the company an outstanding reputation from Florida to Nashville and beyond. Each member of our team shares the same passion, enthusiasm, and candid style, allowing us to constantly create impactful and dynamic images.
Hello! I’m Sara Kauss, and I’m passionate about people! Building relationships, making new friends, and capturing life through my camera lens is where my heart is. I want my photos to reflect you and who you are, in a super creative and sunlit way!
There is a very strong chance that when you see me I will have my pink bedazzled Canon camera in hand! I look at the world in a different way than most. I am constantly envisioning the perfect angle with amazing light, whether sunlit or lamplit, that will truly describe that split second in a single frame, and freeze it in time forever. I want my images to tell a story, and create the feeling you were right there in that moment. Whether it be an emotional look between a bride and groom, an artist rocking out on stage, or a musician in their element posing for that descriptive album cover shot, creativity is forefront to every single moment captured. It is my job, and honor, to make sure my clients can look back and relive them for years to come.
One of the more unique things about me, I’ve been told, is my innate ability to connect with clients who are truly excited for me to be part of their story. From their engagement session through the birth of their first child, or working with a country music artist from their first time at Country Radio Seminar through their opening performance for Lady Antebellum, nothing makes my job more rewarding than being part of that journey.
Just a few more details you should know about me… my husband seriously rocks my world! Zak is my encouragement, my adviser, and best friend. Starbucks and baby carrots are both daily addictions. I’m pretty sure my life would not be complete without Golden Retrievers, especially my girl Mallory Square!
Zak and I also own a wedding venue in Jupiter, Florida. Lucky Old Sun Ranch is a beautiful place we get to call home. We are incredibly blessed to have select special couples celebrate their wedding day here with us, amidst hundreds of palm trees and a seven acre lake.
Thank you for reading and watching about my passion for being a photographer. I can’t wait to meet you!
A little about me… After a brief stint in architectural photography I found myself completely inspired by photographing people and documenting their stories. While my formal education was completed at Webster University in St. Louis, over my 13 year career I have had the pleasure to learn from and work with some of the most talented wedding photographers in the country, including the ever-fabulous Sara Kauss.
I love weddings! The beauty, the energy, the people, the spaces… getting to document such an important and meaningful event in a couple’s (and families’) life is truly an honor. I love getting to know the people I photograph, telling their stories through images and giving them the opportunity to share those moments with friends and family.
As the Studio Manager and Associate Photographer for Sara Kauss Photography, I assist Sara in day to day studio operations (the business end of what we do), run all the event pre-production & planning, manage album design, and the best part… photograph spectacular events. Along with Sara, I specialize in weddings, events, portraits & design and will happily travel to any location for your wedding or event.
When not shooting, I enjoy interior design, cooking, and traveling with my wonderful husband, Richard. I love natural light, film and mid-century modern design. I have a vintage chairs problem and I’m a total sucker for a blue sky and a palm tree lined street.
I am so fortunate to be part of this amazing team! I joined Sara Kauss Photography over five years ago, knowing immediately that Sara and her company were truly unique and special. With a professional background in graphic and web design, I have always had a passion for photography and the creative outlet it can offer. My favorite images are those artistic shots with unexpected angles, that capture spontaneous emotion and create an image that otherwise would not exist.
As Production Manager and Assistant Photographer, I am able to express my creativity through photography, design, and post-production editing in order to produce timeless images and products for our clients. I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings all over Florida and meeting incredible people along the way. In addition, I work as event and concert photographer, which fuels my deep passion for country music!
When not behind the lens or computer, I enjoy riding my dirtbike and spending time with family and friends. I am a New Yorker at heart, although I have been blessed to live here in the sunshine state for nearly ten years. I love anything pink or sparkly, which is an obsession that Sara and I share! Animals are important to me, and my playful dog, Sadie, always keeps me on my toes.
Thank you so much for listening to my story. I cannot wait to capture yours!
“From the first time I spoke with Sara on the phone I knew I had to work with her. Her energy, love for people, experience and personality was shining through her voice. Her skill for seeing that beautiful shot through her lens and capturing it is perfect. Her positive energy makes you feel so at ease and comfortable. Every finished picture I saw I was just blown away. I could not have imagined a better experience for our perfect day. Pictures are what you will have for the rest of your life to remind you of your wedding, your love and every emotion of that day. An excellent photographer is so important to capture it all.”
