CRS Day 4

Scotty McCreery and the Atlanta Braves
Day four of CRS, began with Faith Hill, one of my favorite female artists, sang one of her first songs “It Matters To Me” which was so incredible to hear, because not only was her performance outstanding, it was almost surreal for me to watch her and listen to a song which I clearly remember listening to, and loving, when it first came out. I spent some time talking with The Lost Trailers, who are a very fun, cool, and unique group of guys, that have a great “Underdog” story, check out their website. The new faces that were highlighted on day four include: Eli Young Band, David Nail (another one of my favorite voices in Country Music), Hunter Hayes, and Sunny Sweeney. One of the neatest things about CRS is being introduced to some of these “new faces” and their music, and having the chance to keep tabs on them throughout the year. Last years CRS New Faces artists The Band Perry, have had a sky-rocketing year since their 2011 performance on that same stage. I’ve been lucky enough to capture some moments of TBP throughout this awesome year…it’s fun to see where these 2012 New Faces will go! Speaking of catching up, Scotty McCreery, another new face in Country music, caught up with me! We had met last year, while Sarah Darling sang the National Anthem at a Braves game. So when I saw him at CRS, we chatted about baseball, of course, and how crazy-exciting this year has been for him. Scotty so real and sweet and this year of stardom, touring with Brad Paisley and even an amazing World Series experience hasn’t changed him one bit.

When all was said and done, and it was time to pack up my boots and head
back to Florida, I was exhausted, but couldn’t take the smile off of my face. What a great week it had been here in Nashville, two of my favorite things came together Country Music and photography. Looking forward for my next adventure at the ACM Awards. Get ready Vegas!
