Letters to Sara

Hi Sara!
Now that I am finally settled and back in North Carolina, I wanted to send you an email and tell you how much I enjoyed having you as our photographer and how wonderful you are. I know my family loved you and of course thought your photos are great. I have enjoyed seeing a few pictures from the rehearsal! Thanks again for everything and for being a pleasure to be around!

Yesterday, I was thinking to myself about the ton of other weddings I have been to in my life.  Have I ever even thought to tell the bride and groom that there photographer is awesome?  Nope.  Those thoughts have never even crossed my mind at other weddings (in fact, I remember telling my mom at my sister’s wedding that the photographer was “really annoying.”  haha).  Have I ever heard anyone else telling the bride and groom that the photographer is awesome – or discussed weddings with other guests and said, “gee, their photographer was really great”?   Nope.

So, as you can see, you are the best EVER, especially since I got 5 million compliments on choosing such “great photographers” throughout the day of our wedding and the next day.  PLUS, our guests are still telling us that whenever they bring up the wedding.  Kelly & Dave


Spectacular, Sara!  We are almost without words with which to describe our wedding pictures.  We knew after viewing some of your other work and our engagement photos that the wedding photos would be fabulous; however the resulting fabulousness was beyond our expectations!  We can’t even begin to tell you how happy we are that you were our photographer.  Not only are the pictures amazing, but working with you was such a joy!  I may have told you this before, but I’ll tell you again — EVERYONE at the wedding was asking: “Where did you find her?!?!  She’s great!” and we’ve already passed on your name to two other engaged couples.  What more is there to say?  Bravo! Sara I can NOT believe it’s been a year since you photographed our wedding. I still look at the pictures and I’m amazed. But here it is a year later and you (or maybe your assistant is what she told me) is photographing a wedding of a girl I went to high school with and referred to you. AND a couple months you photographed another girls wedding I went to high school with. I raved about you to all the girls I knew who were getting married and said that they’d be disappointed if they went anywhere else for their wedding photos.

So I just wanted to say thank you again and I still LOVE to look at my pictures!

Note #2 It was an HONOR to work with you. The pictures came out better then I could have ever imagined. You also have a GREAT eye for poses and places. If I had gone with anyone else I would have been disappointed. You were worth everything! Don’t change anything. You are number 1 on my list to refer to anyone! I just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you soooo much for everything!! =)

Everyone has told me you were just wonderful and how late you stayed. I cannot thank you enough for everything – the engagement pictures – the guest book and whats left to come I can only imagine will be amazing as well. It has been wonderful working with you and I want you to know how happy I am that you were able to be a part of this special day.

My fiance and I were planning a small destination wedding in Fort Lauderdale. Since we live in PA, the only photographer suggestions that we had were from our venue and from the Internet. I contacted over half a dozen photographers and their prices were either outrageous or they did not want to want to do what my fiance and I wanted to do for our wedding! My fiance and I did not want to see each other before the wedding, but we were told that it was not a good idea and they’d prefer to take photos of my fiance and I before the ceremony. We also wanted to do a fun, playful beach photo shoot the day after the wedding, but I was told by several photographers that it wasn’t necessary since our wedding was already on the beach and we could take beach photos after the ceremony. Aren’t the photographers supposed to do what their client wants?

After being EXTREMELY frustrated, I discovered Sara Kauss Photography on The Knot and this website. The reviews were unbelievable, so I called Sara’s company and I was able to get in touch with Sara very quickly. To my surprise, Sara was SO friendly and sweet and I really enjoyed speaking with her. I IMMEDIATELY knew that she was different from the other photographers. All of my ideas were enthusiastically supported by Sara and she even thought that the “day after” beach photo shoot was a great idea!

Sara was extremely quick and responsive to my e-mails and phone calls from the time I booked her up to our wedding and even after the wedding! She and her assistant were WONDERFUL at our wedding. We barely noticed that they were there, yet they managed to capture such beautiful and unique photos. Sara set up her laptop at the reception and played a slideshow of photos from the ceremony and “getting ready” photos. They were GORGEOUS and made everyone so excited. SO many of our guests kept complimenting me on picking such a great photographer and kept saying, “where did you find her! She’s awesome!” Two of my friends actually said that they wished they could get married again so Sara could take the pictures!

Sara and her company are amazing. Sara shot our engagement photos where she made us feel so relaxed and happy. For our wedding, Carrie, the associate photographer, shot our wedding and she was such a pleasure to work with. I felt like Carrie understood us from the beginning and she brought such creativity to her shots which is why we chose Sara Kauss Photography. Carrie has the same style which theirs is different from the rest, she had very little time in between the whole day to work with and she made it happen.
