Maui Wedding

Maui Wedding

Hank and Nicole are very dear friends of ours.  We were so excited to be a part of their wedding day and honored when they asked that I be their photographer.
Their wedding ceremony was on Wailea Beach in Maui, Hawaii, following a champagne toast and greetings from friends.  Hank and Nicole exchanged leis, rings and vows during a vibrant, colorful beach sunset, it could not have been more perfect!  Following their ceremony, an intimate reception of delectable appetizers, delicious entree’s and hand made deserts by one of Hawaii’s finest private Chefs.  Undoubtably, one of my favorite wedding photography experiences to date!
Congratulations again, Mahalo!

Costa Rica

Costa Rica

Here’s a peek at the first part of our adventure in Costa Rica! Keep checking back for photos of Megan and Tacho’s destination wedding on Saturday. But, first up are Zak and my adventures in the rainforest of Costa Rica! We took a tour of Crocodile’s with our new friend, Jose (www.crocodilerivertour.com), lets just say it was the closest to crocodiles we’ve ever even dreamed of being!

Tampa Storm

Tampa Storm

Hey guys!

I’m in Tampa this week shooting a Hospital Pharmacy Convention…as boring as it sounds, it’s actually pretty neat. Sitting in the conferences I’ve learned lots of new drug names and interesting facts about hospitals (okay, so yeah, its as boring as it sounds :-) ) The fun part is the convention company hosts an AMAZING party for the pharmacy directors and attendees. This year, they rented out the entire Tampa Florida Aquarium! On the way to the Aquarium, the directors took a water-taxi…I got to tag along and WOW Tampa, you’ve got some really neat storms

Peru (part 4 of 4) Machupicchu

Peru (part 4 of 4) Machupicchu

Machupicchu, Peru. We all were pinching ourselves to see if this gorgeous historical expanse in front of us was really real. It was, and it was phenomenal.

Peru (part 3 of 4) The People and Puppies of Peru

Peru (part 3 of 4) The People and Puppies of Peru

I’m definitely a sucker for a sweet faced, four legged puppy.  But, these Peruvian canines had a very serious mission they always seemed to be on!  Very few stopped to say hello.  These images take us from Puerto Maldanado and Inkaterra’s tropical forests to the city of Cusco, Peru.
It may seem crazy, but DRINK THE TEA! There’s something in the Cocoa Leaves that is a miracle for keeping away altitude sickness.

Peru (part 1 of 4) The Many Textures of the Rainforest

Peru (part 1 of 4) The Many Textures of the Rainforest

Nothing compares to traveling. And to see Peru the way the Kauss family experienced it was beyond amazing. First, I must thank my sister-in-law, Sarah Kauss (confusing, yes!) for her generous Christmas gift. This trip to Peru was a present from Sarah. Zak and I will be forever grateful! Thank you Sarah.

The adventure begins in the Rainforest outside of Puerto Maldonado. As the title suggests, the rainforest is full of vivid colors and unique textures. As well as lots of animals! Enough writing for now, I will explain through photos! There will be four parts of this entry…keep checking back for wild monkeys and our meeting with a Lama. :-)
