Love Pinterest!  Just got started with it, and appreciate any ideas and thoughts on how it works :)  Found that you cannot pin your own images on Facebook, and since that’s the first place I blog a new image from a wedding or event, thought to add this new post to my blog.  Please excuse me if this is not proper PinEtiquette, but love so many of my creative brides and their ideas that I thought to start with images from their weddings!  Here goes….

Being asked to interview on Eye on South Florida, Fox 29’s Saturday morning special, was an honor to say the least.  Jay Cashmere brought Heather Lowenthal of Posh Parties and myself in as wedding experts to discuss with him our take on the in’s, out’s and upside-down’s of wedding planning!  Jay and fiance, Kelly are getting married in October at Admiral’s Cove in Jupiter, so the special on wedding planning was fitting for Jay to present to his viewers.  Was I nervous?  Yes.  But, Heather and I are great friends and Jay is so easy to talk to, our 30 minute interview flew by like we were having a conversation on any other day talking about what we all love…weddings!  Thank you WPTV & Jay for the invitation.  We’re looking forward to seeing the show live on Fox 29 at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, April 23rd.  Tune in so our ratings go through the roof and they invite us back!

The Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, NV at the MGM Grand photographed by me :) for Great American Country Television (GAC).  Loved hanging out with all of these amazing artists in the Country Music industry and capturing them being honored for doing what they love.  Here’s some photo-journalistic coverage of the Red Carpet arrivals and Press Room backstage after the amazingly talented Taylor Swift won Entertainer of the Year, Miranda Lambert won FOUR awards, for Top Female Vocalist, Single of the Year and Video of the Year for her huge hit, ‘The House That Built Me.’ The songwriters behind the tune, Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin, also won for Song of the Year.  Lady Antebellum won Album of The Year for Need You Now, Brad Paisley won top male vocalist of the year, and my absolute favorite people, The Band Perry won Top New Artist of the Year and Vocal Duo or Group.  All in all it was an amazing experience and I was honored to be there capturing such a great event in Country Music!

Some couples were just made to have fun together!  I mean…a really, really good time together!  This, is one of those couples.  Kelly and Jay didn’t stop laughing the entire shoot.  The photos we captured were not only genuinely them, but remarkably fun!  It’s awkward to have a huge lens pointed at you and you’re supposed to “look cute!” as the photographer, I try to make it fun on the camera side, dancing around and saying ridiculous things to get expressions out of you…but I’ve been on the other side of the camera before and will admit, it’s not easy!  Kelly and Jay…they are complete naturals and so great together, besides the one part in the engagement session where we pulled out Katy Perry’s Firework on my iPhone and started dancing, these photos are all them.  We just enjoyed walking down Worth Avenue, where Kelly and Jay met, stopping at Starbucks for a coffee break and then ended the day with the best Sunday Brunch and Bloody Mary’s we’ve ever had at Cucina’s on Palm Beach.Love them.  Thank you guys for being so much fun!  We’re going to have a great time at your wedding.  I just know it!  You have the best team of people working with you at Admiral’s Cove in Jupiter & one of the best wedding planners in the industry, Heather Lowenthal with Posh Parties (http://poshpartiesonline.com).  Cannot wait!

p.s. this blog post wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention how many times Kelly and Jay changed clothes!  It was hilarious and started to be a running joke that we had to switch outfits every :30 minutes or they would turn into pumpkins.  After our brunch, Kelly and Jay went on to a baseball game, in which they text me photos of their “outfit change” and then Jay had a formal event to MC at in Boca Raton, so of course they had to change once more!  Had the best time getting texts from them throughout the rest of the day with all their wardrobe changes!  Great times.
