Destination Weddings

Destination Weddings are the Best! And, I say that from experience. My husband and I were married at a destination wedding in Mexico in 2005 so I am a bit biased. But, the real reason I love shooting a destination wedding is I find that they inspire me to be spontaneously creative.  I love finding architectural nooks to put you in for a photo, or a pristine garden full of purple flowers and beautiful light.  The uniqueness of your relationship as a couple mixed with an amazing location waiting to be photographed is my best inspiration!

Besides, what better way to see the world?  Being in a new place, surrounded by happy people who are in love….it doesn’t get any better than that.  I also enjoy truly being a part your wedding.  Most destination weddings are intimate celebrations. Over the course of a couple days, I get to know your guests and find out we all have things in common. There’s usually someone who enjoys scuba diving, or grew up in Minnesota!  I always leave destination weddings feeling like I’ve made twenty new best friends.

I have been lucky enough to photograph several destination weddings, but a few of my favorites have been New York, California, Hawaii, and most recently Anchorage, Alaska! I am looking forward to one day being hired to photograph a wedding in a quaint Italian villa or an underwater wedding in the Florida Keys!

Destination Wedding Package starts at $7,500 including travel expenses*, rehearsal coverage, wedding day coverage, coffee table album and post-wedding session (my absolute favorite!  Picture photos of you and your honey near an abandon castle in Ireland at sunset … ooo!  Let’s go tomorrow!)
